Which one is better for an affiliate blog?
Affiliate marketing is the choice most people go for to get started to earn a passive or extra income. The results of affiliate marketing have been wonderful for sellers and affiliate marketers too.
So now, you have decided to jump into the river of affiliate marketing. There are a few important decisions you need to take. Many affiliate marketers’ concern is that we should use social media or go for an online blog or website. We cannot be ignorant of the social media’s effectiveness for reaching out to your prospects. But, in my opinion, social media might limit your affiliate marketing operations. For instance, the privacy policy, functionality, and security features of social media might or might not allow you to embed an affiliate link. (This is a personal experience). Along with using social media to reach your prospects, you should have another platform giving you all the freedom.
Therefore, my advice to all marketers is always to go for an independent blog, website, or landing page; you can do whatever you want to do. Many marketers ask me the question of what platform should I choose to run my affiliate blog. I will talk about the two most talked platforms and which one is better for the affiliate blog.
WordPress or Wix?
Let’s find out.
WordPress Vs. Wix
Key Difference
WordPress is a website hosting and website builder with powerful open-source content management(CMS), giving you full flexibility to build a website. Whereas, Wix is an all-in-one website builder, enabling the users to drag and drop elements to build a website with their in-house features and tools.
The main difference between the two is that you have to build a website from scratch in WordPress. On the other hand, Wix gives you a personalized website building experience by their in-house tools and features, security features. Anyone can make a website on Wix, but to build your website on WordPress with full flexibility and control, you need to have some of the technical know-how of programming.

Which one is better for an affiliate blog?
When I was a beginner in the website building, I went for the Wix for their easy drag and drop function. But, later on, I realized that I need some extensive SEO related plugins that were impossible to do on Wix, so I moved to WordPress.
WordPress and Wix are both website builders that facilitate you to build your website. Specifically talking about affiliate marketing, your SEO is very important; therefore, I recommend using WordPress over Wix. Undoubtedly, Wix is an easy website builder. Any tech and programming naïve person can easily navigate, but many plugins and SEO related options are missing in the Wix.
On the other hand, WordPress might look difficult for building a website when you are not a programmer. But numerous free themes and plugins allow you to do drag and drag function in WordPress, e.g., elementor.
